At GMMH we are investing significantly into our Community Mental Health provision.

The Gateway Service is a referral management & triaging service. All new external referrals to the GMH Trust will be received by the Gateway Service where the referrals will be logged prior to being directed to the appropriate services under the GMMH Service for management.

The Gateway Administrator will provide an efficient and effective administrative service with the Gateway Team. Carrying out all administrative tasks in relation to the Gateway role, answering telephone calls to GPs, various clinical staff and professionals, patients & relatives. The Administrator will also carry out a variety of administrative tasks as directed by Senior Admin Manager.

Main duties of the job

  • To support the processing of the referrals that are received by the Gateway team following established protocol
  • To support system management: as you will be the first point of contact for external referrals into the trust.
  • Dealing efficiently, precisely and courteously with telephone callers & to provide telephone support to GPs, appropriate referrers, health care professionals, also patients and ensuring accurate data info is provided.
