Senior Clinical Coder wanted
Cardiff & Vale University Health Board is looking for a full-time, highly motivated individual with a passion for clinical coding to join their coding team.
This is an exciting opportunity for those wishing to further their clinical coding career and gain valuable experience within Wales' largest hospital.
Applicants must have passed the National Clinical Coding Qualification (essential) and worked as an Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) for at least one year.
This is a full-time position, flexible working patterns and a limited amount of remote working is available.
Note:
- Applicants who do not possess the National Clinical Coding Qualification will not be considered for this post.
Main duties of the job
- To provide comprehensive, accurate and timely information for CAVUHB and other relevant bodies through the process of Clinical Coding.
- To code complex specialities and episodes of care.
- The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a small team of coders, ensuring that Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets are consistently achieved and to identify any training needs.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
