Independent service check

NHS Jobs status

Having trouble with NHS Jobs? See what Job Clerk’s recorded checks show, then use the official guidance to decide what to do next.

Job Clerk is an independent job-search service. We are not NHS Jobs or NHSBSA, and this is not an official NHS status page.

Status unknown · observations out of date

These observations are too old to describe current access. Refresh this page for the latest recorded checks, or consult the official service information.

What was checked?

Access to NHS Jobs employer vacancy listings in Job Clerk’s existing import checks. We also consider recorded NHS Jobs source errors, including failed advert requests and parsing errors.

These are observations from our service’s network routes. A successful check shows that tested listings were reachable; it does not prove every page or every user’s connection works.

What is not checked?

  • Signing in, saving a draft or submitting an application.
  • Every vacancy, network or geographic location.
  • Trac, NHS Scotland, HSCNI or an employer’s separate recruitment system.

Check the official service information

NHSBSA publishes planned maintenance information and applicant support. Our observations do not confirm the cause of a problem or an official incident announcement.

If you are trying to apply

  1. Keep a copy of any unsaved application text before refreshing, signing out or clearing browser data.
  2. Check the exact application link in the advert. Some employers use a separate recruitment system.
  3. If the deadline is close, contact the recruiting employer using the advert’s contact details. Explain the error and when it happened. Only the employer can advise on its process; do not assume an extension.

Help with NHS Jobs access

How to read these observations

We review recorded checks from the last 15 minutes. A recorded failure takes priority over a successful check in that window. HTTP 403 means access was refused on a tested route; other failures may include network, response or processing errors. Missing data is shown as unknown.

We reuse recorded observations for about a minute. Refresh this page to load newer results; this does not trigger a new NHS Jobs request. Checks older than 15 minutes, or a saved view of the data older than one minute, are marked out of date. Checks run less often outside UK working hours, so gaps are possible and do not establish an outage.

We do not calculate uptime percentages or infer an outage from a lack of new jobs. Check times use Europe/London, including British Summer Time when applicable.
