Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the West Suffolk Material management team based in the Procurement department.

The role is Monday to Friday (9am-5pm) and supports all the different areas of the Trust to ensure we have the right consumables in the right place at the right time.

The role will utilise the Trust Inventory Management system to monitor stock levels, raise orders against agreed stock levels and place the deliveries on the shelf in the relevant departments and wards.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake daily stock checks in various wards and department on a daily basis
  • Undertake the delivery and unpacking of daily deliveries, to ensure all wards and department have the consumable stock required.
  • Be the first point of contact for all wards and department for urgent or additional consumable requirements.
  • Utilise the different e-procurement systems to place requirements and ensure delivery in a timely manner
  • Regularly link with budget holders to monitor and reviewing stock products and levels
