We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team on Ward 4 at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary
Our team pride themselves on exceeding the expectation of our patients and their families and work very closely as a team to support each other in our every day work.
Ward 4 is a busy department looking for an individual to provide a warm and welcoming approach to all patients, staff and visitors attending the ward. The ideal candidate will take leadership in the management and organisation of patient records, admissions, transfers and discharges using the appropriate IT systems.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will have good communication and IT skills, keeping the IT systems live at all times. You will need to be able to deal with sensitive, confidential information in an appropriate manner. You will need to be able to respond to ward requests from ward staff and deliver to other parts of the hospital
Your main responsibility will be to liaise with senior nurse in charge and provide and welcoming approach to all visitors to the unit. You will need to work with minimal supervision providing administrative support to the ward team .
To be able to work shifts opposite to the ward clerk in post, flexibility .

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
