Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Newham Directorate for a Part-time band 4 ward administrator 22.5 hours per week. This is a permanent post and we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who is looking for a new role in a very busy and challenging environment on a Mental Health Picu ward. As an administrator you will be based on a busy ward offering support to the Multi Disciplinary Team and are often the first point of contact

Main duties of the job

  • Inpatient experience
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team
  • Reliable, flexible & adaptable
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Familiar with the reporting service and KPI reports
  • Chase any outstanding CQUINS and update accordingly
  • Ensure that 72 hour follow-up appointments have been booked
  • Excellent IT knowledge and a comprehensive knowledge of office systems including Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
  • Ensure RIO is synchronised & updated
  • Paperwork is scanned and uploaded
  • Ordering of suppliers on both Oracle and Clares
  • Assist/cover other ward admin where required

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

We are looking for someone that has a flexible approach to work, who preferable has had inpatient and RIO experience in a Mental Health unit, or someone that is adaptable and willing to learn with excellent IT knowledge and a comprehensive knowledge of office systems including Microsoft Teams and One Drive.
