Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our South and Central Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams (formerly Living Well)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work as a Team Manager to assist with the day-to-day management of this exciting, innovative team. In this role you will provide both clinical leadership and line management supervision to staff within the service. You will deputise on behalf of the Operational manager when required.

The Neighbourhood Team offers timely access to mental health services when people need it most and provide support for people who might not traditionally meet the threshold or criteria of existing mental health services. It is designed to support people who experience Serious Mental Illness. The team is multi agency and involves working with both clinical and VCSE organisations. There will also be input into supporting Neighbourhood Team though the current community transformation of community mental health services.

As a successful applicant, you will possess excellent communication and problem solving skills. This is a busy working environment, and any successful applicant would possess proven reflective skills which helps drive ongoing service improvement and facilitates change.

Main duties of the job

As Team manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the new developing service. Experience and knowledge of community services and third sector organizations in Manchester will be beneficial for this role.

Manchester Neighbourhood Team is a compassionately led, trauma informed, and recovery focused service. CPD opportunities are available and personal interests/skills will be supported to develop and grow.

The post holder will help align and integrate Neighbourhood Team alongside the ongoing transformation of community mental health services. This will require strengthening and maintenance of relationships with other community services and colleagues.

The service currently operates between 9 – 5 Monday – Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Successful applicants will participate in the Bronze on call/site rota as required (this will entail some unsociable hours/weekend working).
