Post-registration qualification in emergency care – for example - ATNC/ATCC /ALS

Main duties of the job

s the UTC Unit Lead, you will:

  • Provide inspirational and visible leadership at the Penzance UTC
  • Oversee and support the ENP workforce across the Trust
  • Drive clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous improvement
  • Lead and support teams through service development and transformation
  • Ensure the highest standards of care, governance, and workforce wellbeing
  • Collaborate with acute, primary care and community partners across Cornwall

This is a role for someone who can balance operational oversight with compassionate leadership—someone who brings clarity, energy and clinical credibility to every challenge.

This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week.

  • Experience of teaching qualified nurses, learners, junior doctors, patients/carers.
  • Knowledge of resources management issues.
  • Good numeracy skills.

Experience

  • Demonstrable registration experience in Accident & Emergency.
  • Accident & Emergency leadership experience.
  • Wide range of clinical experience.
  • Supervision of learners and preceptors.

Qualifications

Essential

  • RGN
  • Post Registered emergency nursing degree qualification or equivalent
  • ATNC ATLS (obs)– ALS.

Desirable

  • Diploma/Degree in nursing.
