We are looking to recruit an inspirational, innovative and dynamic nurse who is ready for the exciting challenge of a Band 7 Senior Sister / Charge Nurse to lead our dedicated Gastroenterology and Intestinal Failure team. The speciality is forward thinking and we are the leaders in the care of patients within the specialty. You would be working closely with the Psychologists, Consultants and Nutrition Nurse Specialists in providing a very high standard of care.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be able to further develop your management and leadership skills and enjoy the working relationships within a dedicated team. If you have the commitment to lead, and a special interest in Gastroenterology we would like to hear from you.
The post holder will be expected:
- To lead, develop and co-ordinate a multidisciplinary team to ensure an optimum level of safe and effective patient care within budgetary resources
- To assess care needs, to develop, to implement and evaluate programmes of care
- To be responsible for all aspects of staff management and recruitment in line with HR policy
- To participate in a full range of shifts, including Trust and Unit bleep holder rotas, ensuring a visible presence in the ward area
- To be responsible for all aspects of clinical governance and risk management within the ward area
