Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the operational management of the Integrated Mental Health Service provided by the quadrant teams and agreed specialist teams. This will include staff, financial, equity and performance management of the service.
- To manage and supervise the Operational Leads and provide managerial supervision to the Quadrant Psychological Professional Leads in conjunction with the head of psychological therapy;
- To ensure that services are delivered in a manner that seeks to achieve equity of access, experience and outcomes for local people
- Responsible for policy implementation and for discrete policy or service development for a service or more than one area of activity. To provide leadership and ensure that the teams have the knowledge and skills required to engage with service users and carers effectively and to ensure that any training or development needs are identified. They will ensure that the teams implement an integrated, person centred, recovery orientated approach to assessment and care planning that multi-disciplinary team members work together with patients and carers.

- Knowledge of the principles and practice of clinical governance, clinical audit and risk management.
- Knowledge of legislation and the statutory responsibilities of health and social care agencies in the mental health field.
- Knowledge of S117 health responsibilities and the ability to mediate in S117 disputes about eligibility
- Ability to lead and manage change, securing ownership and commitment to shared vision and objectives across disciplines.
- Ability to manage, motivate and engage staff from a variety of professional and organisational backgrounds
- Ability to identify and resolve conflict effectively.
- Ability to model and promote equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice and service delivery.
