Job summary

As the Office of Data and Analytics work towards supporting the Trust with delivering and implementing the Electronic Patient Record (EPR), the Senior Information Analyst will play a pivotal role with supporting to deliver analytics and insight to the organisation.

In addition, the Senior Information Analyst will play an integral role in supporting the ODA's Analytics Evolution which will simultaneously drive analytics improvements.

Day to day, the Senior Information Analyst will respond to requests for data, supporting with pieces of insight to clinical and operational colleagues and other support underpinning the Trust's Strategic Objectives.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Information Analyst will:

  • Work with Business Intelligence Leads, Delivery Managers and Analytics Business Partners to refine information requirements.
  • Work both independently, and as part of a multi-disciplinary squad to provide meaningful insights as required.
  • Utilise tools and various data sources to provide the best-fit solution to operational and clinical asks and analysis.
  • Work iteratively with colleagues to ensure requirements are met.

  • Experience of providing complex multi-faceted analyses.
  • Able to present and explain results of analysis via written and verbal communication.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of databases including database interrogation tools.
  • Good working knowledge of spreadsheets, with experience of making use of their wider functionality, e.g. formulae.
  • Experience of identifying, developing, and monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Experience in the use of SQL to process, arrange and manipulate data.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft SQL Server 2016 functions and tools/services.
  • Understanding of a wide range of data quality issues and the application of the appropriate data validation techniques.
  • Experience of working in the NHS with at least three years’ experience of working in an analytical role.

  • Development of SSRS solutions.
