Advert: RTT Data and Information Administrator
The successful post holder will be a highly motivated team player ideally with previous administration experience within a busy and demanding environment.
As an RTT Data and Information Administrator, you will support the RTT Validation Team by assisting with the validation, tracking and management of patient pathways across Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
The role will involve liaising with Consultants, Health Professionals, clinical teams and administrative colleagues to gather, update and cleanse data using relevant patient management and information systems. You will help ensure patient pathway information is accurate, complete and recorded in a timely manner.
The post holder will support the generation of reports, investigate and resolve data queries, and assist with outpatient and inpatient booking processes where required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail and an interest in using information to support timely patient care.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Communication & Relationships
- Communicate effectively about information relating to patient pathways and validation undertaken within the UHB to staff.
- Assist with applying outcome to patients’ pathways on patient systems through varied methods of communication with Consultants, Health Professionals Allied Health Professionals and other staff.
Data and Information Management
- Working to the principles of information management using computers and will be accessing, inputting data and creating reports from a number of local and national databases e.g. PMS and Business Intelligence System (BIS).
- Responsible for conducting data quality reviews and audits in existing databases, sourcing and obtaining missing data from a range of sources, and subsequently ensuring the accuracy of the data in the relevant validation databases.
- Cleanse data held on validation databases on an ongoing basis and will need to exercise judgements when dealing with queries related to the data.
- The post requires problem solving skills in relation to information management and excellent attention to detail.
- The post holder should have demonstrable experience in information gathering, collating and recording.
- The post holder will require intermediate experience of database systems and be skilled at manipulating, querying and presenting data in Excel.
This post is fixed term for 6 months due to - meet the needs of the service
