An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, conscientious and motivated individual to work as a Resilience Planning Manager within the North East and North Cumbria System Coordination Centre (SCC). This is an interesting and varied role and would suit a highly organised individual with direct experience of working within an urgent or emergency care setting, emergency planning or with previous experience of working in System Coordination Centres.

Main duties of the job

The Resilience Planning Manager will maintain system situational awareness and coordinate responses to operational pressures across acute, community, mental health, primary care and social care services across the Integrated Care System. You will be essential in monitoring system activity, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining service quality within a fast-paced environment. Using a range of dashboards to interpret data to predict upcoming areas of demand and work with system providers on a range of actions to proactively reduce the impact on patient flow and improve patient safety. Previous experience with dashboards including UEC RAIDR Microsoft Power BI is beneficial however not essential.

You will work as part of a dynamic team to lead surge and incident management which is integral to the System Coordination Centre's ability to provide comprehensive support coverage across its operating hours, from 8 AM to 8 PM, seven days a week. The role requires working on a rotating roster across a 7-day week, which includes weekends and public holidays. Flexibility and commitment to this varied schedule are essential for this post, as each shift directly contributes to our ongoing success in meeting service demands.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will work in fast paced environment managing your own workload and prioritising as necessary to meet the demands of the role. You will have excellent organisational skills and an ability to work on your own initiative. You must be able to demonstrate exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentational skills as you will support communication and coordination with and across organisations during periods of system pressure or incidents.

In line with the NENC ICB Hybrid Working Policy you will be required to attend and work at the SCC in Pemberton House, Sunderland as well as being able to work remotely. However, the post holder may be expected to work from any of our offices and regional travel may be required and at short notice to fulfil this role.
