We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our specialist Bladder and Bowel Service as part of the Integrated Community Care and Support (ICCS) Group at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. This is an exciting time to join the service as Bladder and Bowel Services integrate into the newly developing Neighbourhood Teams, helping to shape the future of community-based care for local populations.
We are looking for an experienced nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centered care and has an interest in supporting patients with bladder, bowel, and pelvic floor conditions. The role offers the opportunity to undertake specialist continence assessments, develop treatment plans, provide continence management advice, and support patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Our service provides care through a combination of clinic-based appointments and home visits, enabling us to deliver flexible and holistic care to patients within their communities.
Candidates must have post-preceptorship experience and completed preceptorship in the UK.
Please note this post is not suitable for applicants who are required to undertake the OSCE training programme. Applicants who do not have current valid UK NMC registration will not be considered for this post.

As services continue to evolve, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative ways of working and to be part of shaping future community services.
As this role involves community visits, a car owner/driver is essential.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

The group is currently trialling a new Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) model following a collaborative event with internal and external stakeholders. This pilot aims to explore team structures and assess the impact on patient experience. While no formal redesign has taken place yet, the outcomes of this trial may inform future service delivery and team configuration across the group.
If you are successful in your application, please be aware that your team structure and line management may be subject to change in the future as part of this evolving model. However, any formal changes will be preceded by appropriate consultation in line with organisational policy.

Working Pattern
Our core operating hours are Monday to Friday, between 08:30 and 16.30. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service, and you may occasionally be required to work outside these hours.

Essential
- • Ability to carry out comprehensive risk • assessments and risk management plan. • Evidence of good clinical skills and an ability/willingness to share and teach others. • Demonstrate sound caseload management skills, and an ability to work within a shared caseload model. • Skills in prioritising own and team workload. • Able to meet deadlines and manage own time efficiently. • Be able to input onto a data management system. • Ability to assess a wide variety of clinical health needs. • Plan, implement and evaluate programs of care.
Knowledge
Essential
- • Knowledge of medication prescribing and administration practices. • Knowledge of Continence Assessment / Catheterisation and catheter care or be willing to develop. • Knowledge of Long-term conditions or be willing to develop.
Experience

- • Experience of providing evidence-based interventions with patients. • Post preceptorship experience • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team and able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards it.
