An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Radiographer to join our team as a Band 7 Radiology Clinical Lead.

This is a key leadership role within the department, offering the opportunity to support and shape the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective imaging services. You will provide visible clinical leadership, supporting operational delivery while maintaining a strong focus on patient experience, quality improvement and staff wellbeing.

In addition to day shifts this role will also require on-call cover for evenings and weekends.

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital with cross-cover at Poole Hospital

Main duties of the job

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership within your designated imaging area
  • Support the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred care in line with Trust values
  • Lead, support and develop a skilled multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to service delivery, performance management and patient flow
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation and transformation within Radiology
  • Ensure compliance with IR(ME)R, health and safety standards and governance requirements
  • Support staff through supervision, appraisal, and professional development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust to improve patient pathways

Person specification

Knowledge

Essential

  • Awareness of patient experience, quality and safety agenda’s that support Governance Frameworks
  • Implementation of service development and changes
  • Involvement in policy and SOP development

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in interventional radiology or a similar interventional speciality
  • Management experience.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered nurse, educated to diploma or degree level
  • Teaching and assessing course/ mentorship in practice course or NMC supervising learners in practice approved.
  • Evidence of a post registration qualification or approved training course in leadership and management
