We have an exciting opportunity for a Radiographic and Administration Assistant to join the Parapet Breast Screening team. the successful candiate will be working 18.5 hours per week.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy, patient-focused environment. The Parapet Breast Unit is a dynamic department that supports patients with a wide range of needs, as well as clients participating in the National Breast Screening Programme.

Main duties of the job

  • To assist Radiologists and Radiographers in performing a range of Radiological procedures, including Ultrasound and Mammography
  • To run a US list in a timely manner to esure that appointment times are adhered to.
  • To assist in all aspects of patient care with in the Radiology department.
  • To assist with housekeeping duties i.e. cleaning specialist equipment.
  • To assist with all breast interventional procedures and setting up sterile trollies.
  • To provide support to the Breast Screening Administrative team by performing various clerical tasks.
  • To input accurate patient data into the Radiology Information System and National Breast Screening System in a timely manner
  • To participate in all aspects of image downloading and using the computer systems to ensure that all actions are performed as specified by the ‘Right Results’ pathway.
  • Please note this is a very highly clinical role involving US procedures and running busy US rooms working with EPIC. The admin aspect of the role is only 25%

Experience

Desirable

  • Previous experience of X-Rays and Radiological procedures
  • Previous experience of using hospital computer systems
  • Previous experience in a similar post or dealing with the public in a caring environment

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE English & Mathematics minimum Grade C (or equivalent)

Desirable

  • NVQ in Care or equivalent relevant caring experience.

Special Requirements

Essential

  • May be required to travel to other Trust sites, if required.
