Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to lead on Quality and QSI accreditation of the ESNEFT Medical Imaging department. You will be required to have a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to foster excellent relationships with colleague and other departments. This post is permanent. Full time and part-time hours will be considered.
QSI accreditation is available to imaging services across the UK both within and outside the NHS. Accreditation is the formal recognition that an imaging service provider has demonstrated that it has an organizational competence to deliver against key performance measures. These measures require the department to achieve high standard of service in relation to patient centred care and choice, safety, fit for-purpose facilities and clinical practices. The standards are endorsed by the Royal college of radiologists and the Society and College of Radiographers.
You will need to inspire the team and provide confidence that the accreditation process is progressing and will be maintained post accreditation. This is a cross-site role covering both our Colchester & Ipswich Hospital locations and Community hospitals.
Main duties of the job
- To manage and supervise the accreditation and quality processes in the Medical Imaging services, carrying out the required management and leadership tasks to support and maintain the accreditation processes
- To maintain accreditation and liaise with UKAS with regards required annual submissions
- The duties and responsibilities of the post will be undertaken in accordance with the policies, procedures and practices of ESNEFT, which the Trust may amend from time to time.
