Job overview
This post is to provide direct support to the Quality Control and systems Manager in the management of the day to day aspects of the Quality Control laboratory and Quality unit. The Quality Control section of Pharmacy department is responsible to ensure pharmaceutical products manufactured in the Pharmacy Technical Services department are compliant with regulatory requirements and safe for sale and supply to other Trust and for patient administration.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis, review, interpretation, and reporting/quality approval of test results of a wide range of raw materials, packaging components, consumables, intermediates and final products.
- To undertake and/review environmental monitoring of the Pharmacy clean rooms at NPH and other sites as necessary.
- To assist in the establishment, maintenance and updating of comprehensive laboratory standard operating procedures, protocols, worksheets, and documentation and maintenance of full records of testing of all raw materials, packaging components, intermediates and finished products as necessary.
- To assist with practical and theoretical training of permanent and rotational staff in the QC section.
- To participate in inter-laboratory testing scheme (Pharmassure Proficiency Testing).
- To carry out any other duties as assigned by the QC and systems Manager and/or Head of Quality
