What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading on a variety of digital and technology procurement projects.
- Providing expert advice on procurement and compliance with public sector regulations.
- Drafting tender documents, managing evaluations, and negotiating with suppliers.
- Building and maintaining our contracts database and producing insightful reports.
- Championing procurement best practice across the organisation.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience managing invitation to tenders within the UK public sector.
- Experience of procurement in the Digital and Technology category.
- A solid understanding of UK procurement legislation, including the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- The ability to manage a complex workload and meet tight deadlines.

- In depth experience of managing tenders in a public sector environment
- In depth experience of supporting contract management
- Experience of drafting organisation-wide policies and procedures
- Experience of using Atamis sourcing platform

- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written including document writing
- Ability to build good working relationships with a wide range of people both internally and externally
- Ability to work autonomously, to plan, organise, manage and prioritise own workload; using own initiative and working to tight deadlines
- Ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely documents
- Strong IT and keyboard skills and ability to use Microsoft Office packaged (ie Outlook, Word and Excel) along with maintaining databases
- Ability to cope with conflicting demands and pressures, effectively prioritising to deliver the required outcomes
- An effective communicator with sound negotiating and influencing skills and the ability to inspire confidence and develop effective working relationships at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders

Education & Qualifications

- Expertise in EU procurement obtained via further training and experience or equivalent
- Expertise in contract management obtained via further training and experience or equivalent

- Degree and relevant legal qualification and/or specialist procurement (e.g. CIPS) knowledge or experience acquired through formal education and theoretical experience
