Practice Development Nurse (0-19) - Health Visiting

Join the CLCH Academy as a Practice Development Nurse and help shape learning, development and high-quality care across our 0–19 Children’s Services.

Based in Richmond, South West London, you will work with clinical teams, the Academy and Locality Manager to create positive learning opportunities that build staff knowledge, skills and confidence. You will use your experience as an SCPHN Health Visitor to support practice development, teaching, supervision and assessment.

You will be part of a supportive, collaborative team and have opportunities to develop your own skills through undergraduate and postgraduate learning.

Main duties of the job

As a Practice Development Nurse, you will work closely with the Academy team and Locality Manager to plan, deliver and evaluate learning and development across designated services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify learning and development needs and help teams respond to them effectively.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate education and training, considering local and national priorities.
• Facilitate induction, education and continuing professional development for registered and non-registered nursing staff across community nursing teams.
• Provide teaching, supervision and assessment that supports staff to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence.
• Work alongside clinical teams to embed learning, development and evidence-based practice into everyday care.
• Promote high standards of care by sharing clinical knowledge, expertise and best practice.
• Help create an inclusive, supportive learning environment where staff feel valued and encouraged to develop.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of practice, learning and workforce capability across the service.
• Share learning and contribute to wider practice development priorities within CLCH.
