An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS Lothian’s Public Health Department as a Population Health Project Manager in the Partnership and Place team. We are seeking a dynamic individual who is committed to tackling the social determinants of health and reducing inequalities. The post holder will be part of an established Public Health Team and will lead the planning, management, and implementation of public health programmes, in collaboration with our community planning partners, Health and Social Care Partnership and local communities, to reduce health inequalities and improve health within Lothian. They will have responsibility for a range of public health programmes in line with locally and nationally identified priorities and partners strategic plans. We have 4 place based teams in the Population Health Division of NHS Lothian’s Directorate of Public Health and Health Policy, this vacancy is within the Edinburgh Partnership and Place team.
The directorate aims to improve and protect the health of people in Lothian as part of a whole system approach to public health in Scotland.
We are seeking applicants with an understanding of health inequalities and experience of health improvement/ public health, project planning, management and implementation, in addition to well-developed partnership working and negotiation skills. Applicants should be educated to degree level in public health or a related subject. Part-time and job share applicants are welcome.
