An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and dedicated dispensary. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about patient care and committed to a providing good quality service to our patients. The role will be responsible, alongside the Dispensary Managers, that staff and workflow are coordinated in a way to support the timely access of medicines for patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work in the Trust’s technician-led dispensary experiencing all aspects of in-patient and out-patient dispensing and stock ordering. They will support medicines management to a group of inpatient wards; completing medicines reconciliation, checking patients own drugs and working with patients to optimise their medicines.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

- Experience of supervising staff including basic HR advice
- Experience of working as a medicines optimisation technician
Qualifications
Essential
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Accredited Checking Technician
- Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Services Skills (NVQ) or equivalent qualification.
