We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative individual to join our expanding pharmacy team. The team at Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust comprises of approximately 500 pharmacy staff working across five sites and is one of the biggest pharmacy departments in the country.
Our inclusive and diverse pharmacy department has a strong clinical presence in all areas. We are innovative and forward-thinking and have invested in a host of technical improvements, including robotics and a state of the art, multi-million-pound technical services unit. We offer a wide range of roles across different areas of the service including clinical ward services, aseptic services, homecare, medicines supply, medicines information, medicines governance, education & training, clinical trials, and research.
Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive, efficient and highly confidential secretarial service to the Senior Pharmacy Managers, Managers and staff within the Pharmacy department, alongside the day to day running of the Pharmacy Administration Offices.

Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a busy office or administrative environment
- Experience of providing administrative support to managers or senior staff
- Experience of organising meetings, preparing documents and/or taking minutes
- Experience of handling confidential information appropriately
Desirable
- Experience of working within the NHS or healthcare environment
- Experience of using ESR or similar workforce systems
Skills & Knowledge
Essential
- Excellent communication skills, including clear and professional verbal and written communication
- Ability to produce accurate written documents such as minutes
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and processes
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Knowledge of information governance, data protection and confidentiality
- Ability to communicate confidently by telephone and face to face with staff, patients and external organisations
Education and Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE at Grade 4/C in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications) or equivalent experience
- NVQ 3/A-level in Business/Administration/relevant subject area or equivalent experience
- Evidence of ongoing learning and development
