We are seeking an exceptional Performance Lead (Band 8A) to lead the development and delivery of consistent supplier performance management across all Soft FM services. This senior leadership role will oversee a central Performance and Contracts team responsible for contract KPIs, digital dashboards, supplier oversight and continuous improvement across multiple sites.
Soft FM services are critical to patient safety, experience and staff wellbeing. You will ensure performance is transparent, data-led and aligned to statutory requirements, NHS standards and CQC expectations, strengthening accountability and value for money.
This role is rooted in transformation. You will embed a performance-driven culture, using digitisation and insight to support smarter decision-making and service improvement. Working closely with senior leaders, suppliers and digital partners, you will drive consistency and clarity across the estate.

Main duties of the job
Lead complex, organisation-wide performance and contract management programmes across Soft FM, defining KPIs, identifying underperformance and implementing robust improvement plans. Design and embed consistent performance frameworks, including live dashboards using Synbiotix and Power BI, to strengthen supplier assurance, governance and value for money.
Drive sustainable performance practices across sites, working with operational teams, suppliers and senior leaders to assess capability, manage contract review cycles and address systemic performance risks. Analyse highly complex data from multiple systems, translating insight into clear, actionable recommendations and mitigation strategies.
Oversee the design of reporting structures, data validation methods and digital integrations with ICT and BI teams, ensuring accurate, auditable and automated performance information. Lead stakeholder engagement, facilitate workshops, and present complex or sensitive findings confidently to senior committees and supplier forums.
Plan and deliver cross-site improvement projects, maintaining pace, governance and benefits realisation. Manage and develop the performance team, setting objectives, allocating workload and ensuring high standards of data quality and audit compliance.
