This job involves the day to day running of a medical records team, booking patients for outpatient and inpatient clinics. Health records library functions , along with all general administration duties.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be involved in the running of reception duties, registering and documentation of new patients, booking appointments, requesting case notes from the health records library, prepping clinics. Engaging with all members of staff and dealing with enquiries from patients, dental and medical practitioners and members of the public by telephone and in person.

Details as per JDPS, this post will be an exciting and challenging role for any individual with an interest in making a difference to our patients The role is an excellent opportunity for the post holder to make a positive impact on the patient journey.

- Registration and documentation of new patients. - Reception duties. - Requesting/locating case notes from the filing system as required. - Maintenance of appointment system. - Maintenance of daily clinical work sheets. - Maintenance of waiting lists. - Provision of statistical information for Managers as required. - Care and repair of case note folders. - Maintenance of accurate tracker system of case histories.

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
