This is an exciting time to join our Matron team here at South Warwickshire Foundation Trust. You will be leading our services in Women's health encompassing our Female Surgical Ward, and our dynamic Women's health outpatients area.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to join our well established leadership team within the Family Health Division . You will support a speciality triumvirate in the delivery of excellent, compassionate care whilst maintaining high professional standards.
We are looking for leaders who are not only ambitious, creative and focused, but individuals with sound clinical expertise and a passion for providing outstanding care every time for our patients & outstanding support for our staff.
You will work in collaboration within the family health triumvirate to provide assurance of quality and safety for our patients and lead the team to deliver improvements and innovations in practice.
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse and have experience in an acute hospital setting.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be easily recognisable to patients, staff, and or their carers and will act as a role model, whilst ensuring a visible and accessible presence within the organisation.
The post holder will be expected to maintain and enhance standards of patient care, patient experience and clinical outcomes through the implementation of continuous quality improvement initiatives.
The post holder will provide strong clinical leadership within the Trust to promote high standards of patient safety and experience and a culture of quality improvement.
To maintain clinical credibility through clinical practice
To deputise for the Heads of Nursing and occasionally the Deputy Director of Nursing in relation to organisational and professional issues, as required.
To participate in the on call managers rota.
The post holder will provide professional support and guidance to specialist nurses and work collaboratively with the Multidisciplinary teams across the Divisions and Trust.
Act in accordance with current local Warwickshire and Trust Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Children’s policies
Work with the General and Service Managers, Clinical Directors and other senior members of the MDT in the divisions in delivering service development, business planning and service delivery ensuring achievements in key local and national targets.

- Sound resource (human and finance) management skills

Qualifications

- Registered Nurse/Midwife / AHP
- Post- registration management qualification or specialist relevant qualification

- Relevant full master’s degree or equivalent experience.
