We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to lead our fast paced, administration team.
The post holder will have overarching responsibility for the management of the administration team which is based across Dorset. You will ensure the smooth operation of the service ensuring appropriate cover is provided across teams and locations during operational hours. You will co-ordinate support to clinicians to make the best use of the resources available and play a key role in projects to develop the administration service and streamline processes as well as working closely with the leadership team.
This is a varied role, you'll be given the autonomy to make decisions and work independently, with the support of the service and team leads, as and when needed.
Main duties of the job
In collaboration with the Perinatal Community Team Lead and Perinatal Admin Colleagues.
- Develop, provide and maintain comprehensive administration support to and Head of Service, Perinatal Community Team Lead.
- Undertake specific and defined pieces of work to support the and Head of Service and Perinatal Community Team Lead to include delivering on National and local targets, which includes being responsible for ensuring the referral system and waiting list tool are manged within agreed timescales,
- Producing reports to support management decision making, and responsibility for monitoring activity and data via power Bi.
- Line manager, support and offer guidance to Medical Secretaries, Administrators and Ward Clerk on the inpatient unit. Oversee the administration systems and processes.
- To be adaptable, flexible and able to prioritise and manage time efficiently. To be able to delegate tasks and ensure completion.
- Communicate effectively at different levels of the service and organisation, in both verbal and written form, having good clerical, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
