An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and passionate HR professional to join our workforce directorate in the role of HR Advisor.
We are looking for a motivated, experienced individual to join the team who thrives in a busy environment and takes a solution-focused approach and who can work to deadlines with an attention to detail. We see our HR Advisors as fundamental in supporting colleagues and leaders to do the best for our service users and to deliver perfect care. You will be required to provide professional advice and support to managers on a range of workforce issues.
In order to fulfil this ambitious role you will be CIPD qualified (or working towards with appropriate experience in a HR setting) and will be an experienced HR professional, with the ability to provide excellent generalist HR advice to a wide range of teams, managers and senior managers.
Two full time and one part time position available, to be based at Ashworth, Maghull and V7 in Prescot.
Main duties of the job
The postholders will be responsible for providing effective, proactive HR support and advice related to the operational management of services and also support across the wider HR function as required.
There will be requirement for travel throughout the organisation as and when required and the role will be a hybrid of home working and time on site as per the needs of the service with a base at V7, Kings Business Park, Prescot, or Ashworth, Maghull.
The postholders will have effective verbal/written communication and influencing skills along with presentation and organisational skills. You will be required to communicate information to staff at all levels of the organisation and be able to advise managers appropriately and persuasively.

Key responsibilities will include provision of advice on Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions and HR Policies and Procedures, together with supporting managers through a range of employee relations processes including management of attendance, disciplinary and informal resolution and will involve supporting review meetings, investigations and hearings.
You will need to demonstrate a range of generalist HR knowledge and experience, have experience of interpreting and advising on terms and conditions, policies and procedures, providing advice and support to managers on HR related issues e.g. absence management, disciplinary, grievance and have up to date knowledge of employment legislation and good employment practice, preferably in and NHS or public sector environment.
In this fast paced environment it is important to be able to work to deadlines whilst paying attention to detail and to be able to prioritise and manage your own work whilst exercising initiative.
