Job overview

The NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee (JCC) is seeking a highly organised and proactive Framework Contracts Co-ordinator to support the management of nationally commissioned placements across Wales.

Working closely with the Commissioning Care Assurance and Performance System (CCAPS) Manager, you will be the first point of contact for placement agreements and play a key role in coordinating activity between Health Boards, NHS Trusts, Local Authorities and Independent Care Sector providers.

You will build effective relationships with commissioners, providers and internal JCC teams, ensuring patients progress efficiently through CCAPS to support timely resource allocation and service delivery. The role also involves supporting the monitoring and administration of framework contracts, maintaining accurate records and contributing to continuous service improvement.

A key aspect of the role is supporting the CCAPS Manager and wider JCC team to improve the quality, accuracy and integrity of data and information, helping to inform commissioning decisions and enhance patient outcomes.

Main duties of the job

  • The Commissioning Care Assurance and Performance System (CCAPS) is an informatics system used by Commissioners and providers to contract and performance-manage the Services of Framework Providers and is the enabler of the Framework Agreement. The post holder will be working within this remit and provide system administrative support.
  • Act as the Frameworks Contracts Co-ordinator for the NHS Wales National Commercial Frameworks and CCAPS.
  • Lead on producing and issuing national framework placement agreement contracts and variations for patients within agreed timescales.
  • Provide advice and assistance to commissioners and providers in respect of the Enhanced Packages of Care (EPC) process to ensure framework compliance.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • In depth knowledge & experience of databases and spreadsheets to Vocational Level 3 or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Vocational Level 3 or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience. Well-developed IT skills including use of Microsoft Office (Excel) software and email.
  • Knowledge of legislation relating to data protection and the release of confidential information.
  • A commitment to continued professional development and the ability to learn new IT related systems.

Desirable

  • ECDL or equivalent computer certificate.
  • Experience of working in the NHS or similar health environment.
  • Experience of working within an office environment.
