Main duties of the job

To uphold the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) 2005

To maintain statutory requirements dictated by HTM 05-02 Firecode.

To provide specialist advice on all aspects of Fire Safety and Statutory requirements to the Trust and as necessary other service providers.

To support training functions where necessary, organising and delivering training schedules

Conduct suitable & sufficient Fire risk Assessments i.a.w PAS 79 risk assessment methodology

Experience

Essential

  • Recent experience of working with Local Authority or the NHS in a Fire Safety capacity
  • Experience in the delivery of training to clinical and non clinical staff

Qualifications

Essential

  • Must have attended Fire Safety Courses at Fire Safety College
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, in a relevant subject
  • L4 Diploma Fire Safety

Desirable

  • Certificate in Management at NVQ Level IV or equivalent
  • PTLLS Teaching Qualification or equivalent experience
  • Fire Engineering Degree
  • Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers
