This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate Registered Nurse to play a key role in shaping high‑quality community nursing services and making a real difference to patient care.

Based within the Camborne Community Nursing Team, the post holder will take an active role in monitoring and improving the quality of care, identifying opportunities for innovation, and leading on service development to meet the evolving needs of the local population. You will be required to hold the District Nurse Specialist Practitioner Qualification (DNSPQ), and will have opportunities to develop professionally within a forward‑thinking service.

Working in collaboration with the existing Team Lead, and as part of a supportive, integrated multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical leadership across the community nursing caseload through proactive and effective caseload management. You will have the autonomy to work independently while also being a visible, approachable leader—supporting, guiding, and developing members of the nursing team to consistently deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care.

The role offers the chance to build strong partnerships with health, social care, and voluntary sector colleagues, ensuring coordinated, person‑centred care and positive patient experiences. This position is ideal for a nurse who is enthusiastic about community practice, values teamwork, and is keen to influence service delivery while developing their leadership skills.

Main duties of the job

This job is currently only open to people who already work for the NHS in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly.

The post holder will monitor the quality of care provision and identify and lead on areas of service development.

They will be a registered nurse who holds the DNSPQ qualification.

They will work within an integrated team providing clinical leadership for all patients within the community nursing caseload through proactive management.  Whilst working on their own initiative they will be responsible for ensuring that all members of the nursing team are providing the highest standard of evidence based clinical care and will actively support and liaise with other health and social agencies and professionals.
