The postholder will work within the Workforce Intelligence Team, deputising for the Workforce Intelligence lead and ensuring the most efficient use of resources and building resilience to enable the team to deliver a proactive workforce information service that can adapt to the needs of the business with agility.
You will support the timely and accurate production of performance reports to key management forums of the Trust’s governance framework, including the Board and its sub committees. The post holder will be support and contribute to designing reports to meet customer requirements and undertaking thorough analysis of performance issues, including working with Collaboratives.

Main duties of the job
Deputise for the Workforce Intelligence Lead to manage the workload of the Workforce Intelligence Team.
Support the utilisation of ESR, MS 365, SQL, Microsoft Forms, Power Apps, Sharepoint and MS Power BI reporting function/software with creating bespoke reports and dashboards to fulfil organisational needs including SQL queries to extract, join, and validate data from data warehouse.
Plan the maintenance of the data warehouse for People Services.
Work with teams within People Services, Finance, E-Roster and Recruitment to ensure accurate data flow between interfaced systems, understanding the flow of information between these areas.
Ensure that information requests are completed in a timely manner and that excellent customer service is provided at all times.
Support the delivery of projects assigned by the ESR Systems Manager, e.g. the implementation of Self Service and other projects utilising ESR and/or other systems feeding from/to ESR.
Continuously support and implement the use of innovative workforce related technology supported by ESR including promotion of the use of mobile phone apps, manager and employee self-service and electronic employee contract/payroll/expense related forms.

Knowledge
Essential
- Good working knowledge of Electronic Staff Record (ESR) or other Oracle based workforce/payroll system
- Knowledge of SQL queries to extract, join, and validate data from data warehouse
- Understanding of MS SQL Server including SSMS,SSIS,SSRS
- Knowledge of legislation as it applies to workforce information e.g. GDPR
- Advanced knowledge of IT packages including but not limited to MS Office Suite and MS 365 and an ability to manipulate data.
- Knowledge and understanding of the NHS with a broad understanding of roles and workforce issues
- Knowledge of Information Governance and associated issues
- Knowledge of performance indicators (KPI’s) and performance management.
Desirable
- Knowledge of workforce informatics
- Knowledge of NHS data standards. Knowledge of other Health Care Information, e.g. Public Health, Manpower, etc.

- Experience working at a supervisory level in an admin role
