We are seeking to recruit a part-time Deputy Operational Lead to join the Buckinghamshire CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring children and young people receive timely, safe, and effective access to mental health services. The post holder will support the SPA Operational Lead in overseeing the day-to-day delivery and performance of the service, ensuring high standards of clinical practice, governance, and operational efficiency.

Applicants may come from a range of professional backgrounds, including RMN, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist. You will support the Operational Lead by undertaking both clinical and managerial responsibilities to ensure the continued delivery of a high-quality, responsive, and effective service.

Main duties of the job

  • Support the SPA Operational Lead in the day-to-day management and delivery of the Buckinghamshire CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA), ensuring a safe, responsive, and high-quality service.
  • Provide clinical and operational leadership, including oversight of the screening and triage of referrals into CAMHS.
  • Undertake the SPA duty supervisor role, offering guidance, risk management, and decision-making support to the team.
  • Ensure the service meets national guidance, Trust standards, and local key performance indicators, including access and waiting time targets.
  • Contribute to workforce development through supervision, training, and mentorship of staff.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health, education, social care, and the Children’s Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
  • Support governance, quality improvement, and service development initiatives to enhance outcomes for children and young people.Deputise for the SPA Operational Lead as required.
