The role also includes deputising for the Director of Operational Finance and, where required, the Chief Finance Officer.

We are looking for a CCAB-qualified accountant with substantial NHS or equivalent experience, strong leadership skills and a proven ability to build effective relationships and influence senior stakeholders.

At CLCH, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and supported. We welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds who meet the requirements of the role.

  • Lead the financial review of business cases, service developments, transformation programmes and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance management processes.
  • Work collaboratively with operational, clinical and commissioning colleagues to support organisational objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including NHS partners and system colleagues.
  • Support contract negotiations and system-wide financial planning activities.
  • Present complex financial information clearly to a range of audiences.
  • Deputise for the Director of Operational Finance and, when required, the Chief Finance Officer, representing the Trust at senior meetings and forums.
  • Contribute to Trust-wide financial strategy, governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
