We have a great opportunity within LPFT’s Data Warehouse within Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust. You will be working alongside a developer in a busy Data Services Team and will be responsible for:
The maintenance of the trust’s data warehouse, using a mix of software solutions such as:
- SQL Server
- Azure DevOps Services
- Visual Studio
- Power Bi
- Python
As the organisation seeks to increase it data maturity and reporting capabilities, further integration work is being undertaken between the different systems to improve data quality. This role will heavily contribute to the maintenance and configuration of these integrations allowing you to have a say in how our business data is consumed and presented.
You should possess the following:
- Experience of relational database design and architecture
- Experience of implementing and designing new ETL routines
- Experience with SQL, Python, PowerBI, SSIS
- Good communication and team working skills

Main duties of the job
Building and Maintaining Data Pipelines to support the accurate and timely flow of data in and out of the Trusts Data Warehouse
Management of existing databases and data structures to ensure data is stored efficiently and inline with Information Governance policy.
Design, code, test and implement efficient and robust database schemas, T- SQL Queries, views, stored procedures as part of Business.
Intelligence infrastructure development.
Building Integrations that support the transfer of data between systems and the Data Warehouse.
Working with other members of Data Services and wider stakeholders to help deliver data driven projects and onboarding of new systems
Adhere to robust change management procedures for data warehouse and EPR development, including but not limited to version control, writing of technical guidance and adoption of best practices.

Support the development, processing and storage requirements of NHS minimum data sets (MHSDS, CDS, IAPT MDS) including upgrades to new versions.
Serve as first point of escalation on user support issues and technical difficulties relating to Business Intelligence platform
Develops up to date technical documentation, specification and user guides in support of the applications
Provide mentorship and informal support to junior members of the team.
Working through product lifecycle to design, implement, maintain and improve on systems currently implemented and those planned in for the future.

Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience in managing, designing, developing and querying large corporate databases
- Extensive T-SQL knowledge
- Proven experience with data warehousing in terms of design, structure and enhancement
- Working with a number of different applications such as SSIS, SSMS, Power BI Desktop & Service
- Knowledge of ETL process and SSIS
- Interpreting user requirements to develop effective business solutions
Desirable
- Experience working in Informatics
- Experience of working with complex datasets
- Experience of working within NHS Mental Health Services
- Experience of working with Trust specific EPR (Currently RiO – Mental Health).
- Experience of working in an Azure Environment
Qualifications
Essential
- Relevant IT Degree or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuous professional development in relevant areas
- Relevant training in report building and business intelligence tools
Skills and Competences
Essential
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft T-SQL development and working knowledge of data presentation and data warehousing.
- Strong database management skills using TSQL and SSIS.
- Experience data visualisation tools like SSRS
- Ability to analyse, investigate and resolve complex information queries, detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
