Derbyshire Community Health Services has a great opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our Perth House Pathway 2 Team in Derby.
We are looking for a Deputy Manager with patient centred approach and a passion for delivering high quality, safe and effective service.

The post holder will support the CQC Registered Manager in the delivery of high – quality, safe and effective 24- hour community support bed reablement services.

Main duties of the job
The deputy will contribute to maintaining regulatory compliance, service quality, safeguarding, workforce development and coordination, and operational leadership. They will deputise for the Registered Manager as required, providing visible leadership and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, learning and accountability.
The deputy will have day to day management responsibility for staff within the community support bed and assessment service, providing clear leadership, supervision, and support. This includes absence management, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, and contributing to a positive and professional working environment. Will be responsible for the coordination of staffing rota to ensure safe staffing levels, service continuity and effective use of resources.
The deputy will ensure high-quality, personal centred care in the community support bedded unit. They will assist the multidisciplinary team with holistic assessments, reablement plans and progress reviews to encourage independence and safe discharge. The deputy will monitor care practices to meet CQC standards, safeguarding, and polices while overseeing risk assessments, clinical observations, medication support and tailored interventions. As a role model, they will maintain dignity, respect, safety, and wellbeing in all care, involving individuals and families in decisions and ensuring their needs and preferences are respected.

Education, Qualifications and training

- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent experience)
- Mandatory training relevant to care, safequarding and CQC compliance
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and fundamental standards
- Evidence of continuous professional development
Desirable
- NVQ Level 4/5 in leadership & Management in Care (or willingness to work towards
