We are delighted to offer the opportunity to join our Perinatal Community Mental Health Team as our Community Matron - a unique leadership role where you will help drive excellence in care, improve outcomes for women and families, and influence the future of perinatal mental health services across Suffolk.

Working within one of the region's most highly regarded perinatal services, you will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team with strong partnerships across maternity, primary care and voluntary services, alongside access to a nationally acclaimed regional Mother and Baby Unit. This is a rare opportunity to shape services across the whole Suffolk system while working in an environment that values innovation, compassion and clinical excellence.

As Community Matron, you will provide visible clinical leadership, champion evidence-based practice, and support the team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care. You will play a key role in embedding national guidance, driving quality improvement, supporting professional development, and contributing to the strategic direction of our specialist service.

Main duties of the job

We are have an exciting opportunity to offer the role into a Community Matron position to enhance the safety, experience and outcomes of people using our Perinatal Community Mental Health Team in Suffolk.

This is a unique opportunity for somebody with a drive to embed high quality care to our cohort of service users, based on best practice and national guidance. The role will involve providing leadership as well as clinical support to the team whilst contributing to the implementation of strategic plans.

We are looking for a person who is kind and  compassionate to others, and is proactive in helping people reach their potential whilst maintaining high quality care.

This is an exciting time for change within NSFT, this opportunity will benefit someone looking expand their already established nursing practice, knowledge and clinical leadership to embed and maintain effective systems for quality assurance and high standards clinical care

As Matron, you will be expected to demonstrate the qualities and skills associated with a clinical leadership role and be accountable for services meeting essential standards of care as outlined by the CQC as well as agreed local and national quality standards encompassing the following domains:

• Safeguarding
• Feedback, Complaints, service improvement
• Clinical Audit
