As the CHS Transformation & Digital Delivery Lead, you will be the crucial strategic link between frontline clinical teams and the central Trust Digital Directorate. Your role will be to lead, shape, and deliver complex, high-impact transformation and digital enablement projects from their initial stages to establishing them as Business As Usual (BAU).

You will take the reins in managing multidisciplinary project teams, transformation analysts, and seconded clinical staff. Your responsibilities will include overseeing business process redesign, mapping clinical workflows, enhancing electronic patient records (EPR), and ensuring compliance with clinical safety governance.

We are looking for an ambitious, energetic, and adaptable leader who

  • Holds a Master’s degree or possesses equivalent high-level work experience, complemented by a recognized project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 or MSP).
  • Has a proven history of successfully delivering complex digital or operational transformation projects within health or social care contexts.
  • Excels at breaking down complex technical and digital concepts into straightforward, business-friendly language
  • Demonstrates exceptional negotiation and change management skills, guiding clinical teams through the process of service redesign.
  • Shows a strong commitment to Quality Improvement (QI)

Main duties of the job

The CHS TRANSFORMATION & DIGITAL DELIVERY LEAD is a key member of the Community Healthcare Services (CHS) leadership and transformation team. Working cross-divisionally across both the East London and Bedfordshire footprints, this role leads, manages, and delivers complex service transformation and digital enablement projects across the CHS directorate from inception through to business as usual (BAU).

The post holder serves as the primary bridge and interface between CHS clinical/operational services and the central Trust Digital Directorate. The role is responsible for identifying, scoping, and translating clinical service transformation needs into clear digital requirements, business cases, and operational delivery plans. When digital initiatives require operational preparation, pathway redesign, data alignment, or workforce change within CHS, this role holds primary responsibility for managing and executing those service-side workstreams.

The role is responsible for matrix management of an identified project team responsible for the definition and delivery of transformation and digital projects within CHS.
