Main duties of the job
As the clinical team leader, you will be supporting the manager overseeing the delivery of nursing care to patients on the ward and ensuring high standards of care are met. Your role involves providing strong leadership to patients and staff, managing day-to-day operations, including supporting the unit when acting as unit coordinator, and striving for continuous improvement in care quality. You will also maintain a high standard of the ward environment in accordance with CQC guidelines.
Your clinical leadership skills will play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of patient care. Collaboration with community services, CCG and local authorities will be essential for and managing patient care and bed flow effectively.
You will play a key role in providing support, guidance and teaching to junior members of the team, including students both informally and formally. You will also have the opportunity to take charge in the absence of the Ward Manager, undertaking defined managerial responsibility for the ward
