Job summary
The job holder will provide a project management resource to undertake a gap analysis (with reference to the West Midlands Cancer Alliance (WMCA) Mapping Report of March 2023) of current psychosocial provision for patients and staff across the cluster; develop an options appraisal for service delivery; and produce a series of recommendations for ICB Strategic Commissioning Leads and provider Cancer Services Teams for the future delivery model of psychology services across the BBCS Cluster.
The post holder will also be expected to produce a Business Case to secure the resource for service delivery dependant on agreed service models across the cluster and dependant on maturity of services/ service provision.
Main duties of the job
- Managing the project, including developing, reviewing and managing the project plan; ensuring all project deliverables are on track.
- Reporting project progress, including highlighting and reporting project risks and issues through the agreed governance structures within the provider Trusts, ICBs and WMCA.
- Liaise with the appropriate provider Trust staff, ICB Strategic Commissioning leads, WMCA Senior Programme Manager for Treatment and Care, and other key stakeholders and partners as required.
- Develop and embed a clear communication plan to ensure delivery of the project objectives.
- Manage all project returns, including uploading of data and provide appropriate commissioning leads and WMCA with project delivery up-dates.
- Oversight, management and delivery of all aspects of the project.
- Ensuring that the work of the project reflects the system Cancer Strategies (aligning and interfacing with patient experience, digital/AI, workforce, health inequalities and rehabilitation).
