Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for an experienced and forward thinking Business Manager to provide operational and strategic leadership for our Neurology, Stroke and Neurophysiology services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering our Trust Vision to be the best for patient safety, quality and experience and to lead teams in line with The Leeds Way Values (Patient centred, Collaborative, Fair, Accountable, Empowered). The post holder will drive high quality care, financial sustainability, and transformative within a large, complex clinical portfolio that delivers planned, unplanned and diagnostic care to patients from Leeds and the wider regional footprint.

Main duties of the job

The post holder provides management support to the CSU or a component part of the CSU. They will have responsibility for the performance of administrative and clerical staff and will ensure that services are delivered within budget to agreed quality standards and in accordance with agreed activity levels. The post holder will also work with members of their CSU and other senior managers in the strategic development of the services provided by the CSU. This will include strategic and operational business planning and monitoring, and the development of relationships with key internal and external partners. The post holder will ensure the CSU functions as an integral part of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and that CSU and Trust-wide objectives are achieved simultaneously.
