We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Administrator to offer support to the chronic pain management service (Highland wide service) As this is a bank post you will be covering leave and absence and must be able to work independently and without direct supervision.
Duties to include:
- Answering and making telephone calls - patients may be distressed and in severe pain; excellent communication skills are required.
- Support to Lawson Hospital (Golspie) in managing inpatient clinics for interventions
- Booking patients on to Trakcare for outpatient appointments; completing outcomes of clinics onTrakcare.
- Uploading clinic packs and incoming mail to SCI store
- Secretarial support for letters dictated by clinicians (printing and sending, corrections as per notes)
- Sending appointment letters
- Adding referrals on to trakcare
- Booking clinic rooms using CABS
- Organising translators for clinic appointments
- Facilitating groups on Near Me and Microsoft TEAMS including supporting patients with connection issues to enable smooth running of group sessions.
- Responding to Service emails and rerouting emails and letters to the appropriate clinicians within the Chronic Pain Management Service.
Shift patterns:
- Our small part-time team has core working days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during normal office working hours spanning 0800-1800. Staff that have worked in the team before may also work shifts on Mondays and Fridays but there may be no one else working in the Service to address any queries on these days and they will be working unsupported.
Sites:
The Lawson Hospital in Golspie, Caithness General Hospital Wick and Nairn Town and County Hospital.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
