Following the establishment of the NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee (NWJCC) on 1st April 2024 and a recent organisational restructure, we are seeking a National Framework Audit and Operations Co-ordinator (NWJCC), Joint Commissioning Committee (JCC) to support our journey as a newly formed organisation.
The NWJCC is a joint committee of the seven health boards in Wales, with a Chair and Lay Members. We support collaborative commissioning across Wales, with around 120 staff based in Mold and Nantgarw/Treforest.
Our mission to be The Centre of Excellence for Collaborative Commissioning, improving health and care outcomes across Wales. We commission around 220 services, from NHS 111 and ambulance services to specialised rare disease services, and mental health, operating a £1.14bn budget.

Main duties of the job
Assist the National Framework Lead as the first point of contact for identifying hospital and care home provider audits.
Liaise and work with relevant stakeholders including Framework providers, NWJCC, Health Board commissioning teams.
Support the National Framework Team and the wider NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee (NWJCC), to improve data/information quality.
Provide additional contract management and operational support to the MHLDVGs directorate as required.

Essential
- Experience of operating and managing systems and chasing enquiries to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to establish and enhance effective working relationships with Stakeholders at varying levels throughout organisations within the NHS, Local Authorities and Independent Care Sector.
Desirable
- Experience of working in the NHS or similar public/health environment.
- Experience of working within an office environment.

- Proficient user of Microsoft Office packages, Word, Outlook, and Excel - required to fulfil the requirements of the post.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
- In depth knowledge & experience of databases and spreadsheets to Vocational Level 3 or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge of legislation relating to data protection and the release of confidential information.
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
- Clear knowledge and the importance of Health and Safety Regulations in the Workplace.
- Training on specific software programmes, databases and spreadsheets necessary to undertake the role will be provided in-house over a rolling programme following induction.
Desirable
- ECDL or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of continuing health care, commissioning and procurement terms.
