Darwin Nurseries is a horticulture project and farm shop where adults with learning disabilities and mental health challenges gain the skills, independence and confidence to take an active role in the community.

Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under time restraints and pressure at times. A key part of the role is invoicing external stakeholders, procurement and making payments so you will need to be confident using Oracle or other similar software but full training will be provided.
This role also includes data inputting, face to face and telephone contact with co-workers and colleagues, scanning documentation, minute taking, photocopying, sending and responding to emails, and providing a high level of general administration support to Darwin Nurseries and the wider team as needed.

- Word processing of all forms of correspondence, reports and summaries that are required by the team. 2. Undertake diary management for clinicians and/or managers, as required. 3. Maintain filing in both paper and electronic records, ensuring that it is kept up to date at all times. In accordance with Trust procedures, track and receive notes in a timely manner. 4. Ensure good customer service by providing a professional and effective telephone service, taking accurate messages and providing information and signposting as requested and appropriate. 5. Provide cover as directed by Line Manager for other members of the admin team in their absence and assist with their workloads as necessary and undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required commensurate with the grade of the post.

Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a busy and demanding office/customer facing environment
- Experience of supporting a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of planning and organising own workload and of staff within own span of control
- Experience of using Oracle or similar finance systems for the purposes of invoicing.
Desirable
- Previous experience of working in a NHS Office environment
- Experience in using computer programmes including health care IT systems
Skills & Abilities
Essential
- Excellent customer care skills
- Good IT skills (MS Office)
- Ability to work under occasional pressure/stress
- Ability to deal with typing letters or reports which may contain distressing information
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good listening skills
Education / Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to GCE/GCSE standard
- RSA Stage II/NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent experience
- Good command of written English
