A great opportunity to join a brand new team and develop a career in healthcare across a number of administrative roles, including Medical education, Library, Systems support, Operational facilitation, and many more. The Administrator will be an important member of our Learning and Workforce Development team at Bristol NHS Group. You will work alongside others within the team and our clinicians in practice to help develop a workforce with the skills, knowledge, and competencies necessary to deliver effective and safe patient care and to enhance the quality of service delivery. The administration team will work across a diverse range of workstreams across the clinical, medical, and non-clinical environments. Administrators will be flexible in supporting a range of different workstreams and workload requests. In support of this new approach, the department will place increasing emphasis on automation and AI to enhance the team’s capacity.

Main duties of the job

The Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Learning and Development department, engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Each administrator represents the department's outward face, making strong customer service skills essential for delivering high-quality Learning and Development services

The Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship is a 12-15 month learning programme consisting of:

  • 12-month training and support to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to gain a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner qualification.
  • We are a registered training provider here at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and as such your learning is delivered in a blended model both online and at our Learning and Research centre on our Southmead campus.
  • Monthly assignments, skills assessments and 1:1 support with a dedicated tutor/assessor
  • Workplace mentor to support you to put your learning into practice.
  • End Point Assessment delivered by Innovate Awarding – graded Pass or Distinction
  • Potential for progression into a permanent role upon completion of your apprenticeship

  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry systems
