Job overview
Work within the community cardiology team alongside a team of specialist nurses. Supporting this service with administrative duties and being responsible for communicating with patients around appointments and visits. The post holder will work with other key stakeholders on behalf of the service.
Main duties of the job
Advanced typing and transcription of clinical and non clinical documentation is part of the role. The post holder will be involved in the collating, developing and maintaining databases for information retrieval on behalf of the service. Support management of resources in such areas as ordering of supplies and equipment is also part of the role. The post holder will support the service in facilitating the patient's journey throughout the services.

The post holder will work with several other admin team members for the community cardiology service. They will work as a team and tasks are shared across. The team is managed by a senior clinical member in the service. The admin team members are vital support for the service. The main role is to provide a comprehensive administrative support for the service and the nursing specialists.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Qualifications
Essential
- Diploma/Degree with Honors of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) or Diploma of the College of Occupational Therapist (with Honours) or degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Health & Care Professionals Council registered
- Post Graduate training relevant to specialist area.
Desirable
- Practice placement qualification
