Main duties of the job
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to bridge the gap between academic excellence and clinical innovation, helping to drive forward The Royal Marsden School's vision to transform cancer care by inspiring, challenging and developing innovative health professionals through outstanding education and clinically informed practice.
The Advanced Clinical Practice Academic Lead will provide strategic leadership for the development, delivery and continuous enhancement of Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) education across The Royal Marsden School. Working at the interface between academia and clinical practice, the postholder will ensure that ACP education remains relevant, evidence-based and responsive to the evolving needs of cancer services, patients and the advanced practice workforce.
The postholder will lead the ongoing development of the School's ACP educational portfolio, ensuring alignment with local workforce priorities, contemporary models of care and national frameworks for advanced practice. Through curriculum leadership, educational innovation, scholarship and quality enhancement, they will contribute to the preparation of ACPs who are equipped to meet the complex challenges of modern cancer care.

- Contribute to the ongoing development of Advanced Clinical Practice across the Trust, ensuring alignment with relevant national and regional frameworks.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Royal Marsden School’s strategic vision by supporting the development of innovative, evidence-based education that transforms cancer care.
- Maintain, monitor and develop academic and educational excellence for the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice in Cancer Care programme.
- Lead on the audit and evaluation of Advanced Practice roles in the Trust.
- Maintain and develop personal clinical expertise, credibility, and professional development in line with requirements of relevant professional body and the NHS England Multi professional framework for advanced practice.
