Main duties of the job
As Matron for the 0–19 Service, you will provide visible, compassionate leadership and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, high‑quality care. You will work closely with operational and clinical colleagues to shape services, embed new ways of working, and support our workforce through change.
You will:
Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams across the 0–19 pathway
Drive a culture of continuous quality improvement and innovation
Ensure robust clinical governance and high standards of care
Support workforce development, wellbeing, and professional growth
Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
Champion the voice of children, young people, and families in service design

Essential
- Experience in a leadership role
- SCPHN qualification in Health Visiting or School Nursing
- Masters qualification or working towards Masters
Desirable
- Knowledge of revised HCP
- Experience in being involved in a quality improvement project
