An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Band 4 NMC registered Nursing associate to Join the Skegness Community Mental Health team. The team provide a 5 day a week service, Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. We are a friendly, supportive and proactive team with a culture of delivering a high quality of care. The team works collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners, GPs, Neighbourhood teams, Social workers and Integrated Placed based teams. The team provide therapeutic interventions for those individuals that experience severe and enduring mental illness. Offering nursing interventions in a wide variety of clinical, therapeutic and social forms with the aim of promoting health, wellbeing, self autonomy and independence. The nursing associate will work independently under the leadership of the registered mental health practitioner, working within the sphere of delivering nursing care within all aspects of the nursing process.
The Successful candidate will work effectively in the multidisciplinary team and work collaboratively to provide high quality mental health assessments, treatment plans and risk management plans, providing evidence based nursing interventions.
The successful applicant will perform nursing interventions advocated within the service users care plan, recognise the contribution of others in the provision of service user care. Monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with service users, families and carers. Promote engagement and involve service users/ carers in the planning and delivery of compassionate care. Monitor the impact and effectiveness of nursing care delivered. Make and maintain accurate record keeping. Provide problem solving skills by identifying solutions in routine clinical issues. Participate in regular clinical and management supervision. The successful applicant will be required to have a good knowledge of the medication management policy and safely administer medication as prescribed. Be able to demonstrate competence in providing and promoting physical health care checks to service users within the scope of their practice. Make and maintain accurate records of nursing care in accordance with the professional (NMC) guidance and Trust policy.
