We are excited to offer opportunities for Healthcare Assistants to join our Critical Care Department, which includes: •    General Intensive Care •    Surgical High Dependency •    Neuro Intensive Care •    Cardiac Intensive Care —all based at University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). This is a vital role, supporting critically ill patients and their families. You'll work closely with nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals to deliver the highest standards of care in a fast-paced and emotionally challenging environment. If you're ready to begin your journey in healthcare, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll start with a full-time, one-week induction programme, which includes completing your Care Certificate and helps you settle into the hospital and become part of our team from day one. We also offer ongoing training and development to help you reach your full potential.

What You Will Do As a Healthcare Assistant in Critical Care, you will: •    Assist patients with personal care and daily living needs. •    Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families. •    Support infection prevention and control procedures. •    Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped clinical environment. •    Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. •       You’ll care for patients who require intensive monitoring and life support following major surgery, trauma, or serious medical conditions.
